For the month of June, the Centennial community will concentrate on emphasizing the character trait of Humility. Staff members will teach, model, and look for examples of students demonstrating humility. The phrase we’ll use to promote humility is show you are good, don’t tell you are good. Red stickers will be awarded to students who are spotted demonstrating humility.

Centennial Kindergarten Round-Up

Centennial’s kindergarten registration was held on Thursday, May 4th from 4:00pm-6:00 pm. Over 50 kindergarten students registered on that day. If you have a child to register for Kinder, Please call 428-6138 for details.
Centennial will be hosting a Jump Start early kindergarten program over the summer for entering kindergarten students who have not had extensive pre-school experiences. The Jump Start program will take place July 31st- August 17th, Mondays-Thursdays from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. If you think a pre-kindergarten experience would be helpful for your child, please let us know at kindergarten registration.
Early entrance kindergarten: if your child is born AFTER August 30. 2012 but before October 1, 2012 and you wish to have them considered for early kindergarten testing/entrance, get in touch with Susan Fraley @ Special Services (Tel 360-428-6141) BEFORE JUNE 16th if you want to have your child considered.

Summer Literacy Programs

The “Blue House” on Kulshan Avenue will be open on Mondays during the summer 1:30-4:30 for Centennial students to check out or trade books. In addition a BookMobile will make book check out stops on Fridays 12-4pm in the N. 30th, N 26th, and 3700 College Way neighborhoods. All Centennial students will be able to check out or trade books at the BookMobile.
